Sydney
Tower -- and then we have the view; everyone
had been waiting for this for quite some time. The results
were great & should be viewed together with the
Auckland Skytower
for a scenic comparison. Apologies for
many of the photos having the reflection of the glass window; it was
a bright day & we couldn't avoid the glare. |

As usual Roger & Rex
had birthdays in February |
Boy, is Rex happy to have a birthday! |
All the boys together |
Rex had a birthday tiramisu |
who's having more fun here, Rex or
Roger? |
Here is Rex's loot for the day;
notice Ozzie ... |
... who read the birthday greeting,
too |
Roger had a special KFC treat ... |
... and possibly the world's
biggest cookie ... |
... and clearly enjoyed Rex's
birthday wishes |
And then a few
days later we had a special treat - Kim visited us from San
Francisco ... this would be the 2nd time to see Kim in 8 years |

After all of that
excitement we fulfilled one of our sightseeing goals to see the
scenery around the eastern suburbs or Sydney |
This is called The Gap - a
well known place in Sydney to commit suicide |
Luckily the local council has signs
to help |
This might look the same as The Gap, but it's
a cliff in a suburb called Dover Heights |
We can see pros & cons in living on
this cliff face ... great view - sometimes lousy weather |
Nice platform to see the view & an
exposed set of steps |
Intentionally bank |
And here is the famous Bondi Beach |
... another view of the same |
